Lyndel J. "Joe" Wishcamper has a long and distinguished career in affordable housing, having entered the industry in 1970. He has been an owner/developer of over 15,000 units of affordable housing throughout the country.

He is the president and sole owner of The Wishcamper Companies, Inc. and its affiliates, and is also a non-executive partner in a number of other affordable housing development companies.

He has a long history of community involvement, having chaired a number of non-profit boards including those of the University of Maine System, The Nature Conservancy (Maine chapter) and the Maine Public Broadcasting Network. He has served on a number of business boards as well, including those of Central Maine Power Company and the Dead River Company.

Joe is dedicated to the well being of the residents of the properties with which he is involved. He and his wife founded Springboard to Opportunity, a vibrant nonprofit company with a mission of assisting low income families to achieve success in school, work and life.

Joe is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School.

Joe and his wife, Carol, have been married for 50 years, have two grown children, and reside in Maine.

Jim Hanley joined the Wishcamper Companies in 2021 as President. Prior to joining Wishcamper, Jim was the Chief Executive Officer of a privately held real estate and finance company. An attorney and certified public accountant, Jim as extensive experience in real estate, finance, and taxation. Jim practiced law at the Portland firm Preti Flaherty and previously served as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a juris doctorate from Boston College Law School. A native of the Boston area, Jim resides in Cumberland Maine with his wife and three daughters. Jim has served on the board of Southern Maine Big Brothers & Big Sisters and is the past Chairman of the Catholic Foundation of Maine.

Jordan Betts

Vice President of Asset Management

Jordan A. Betts is the Vice President of Asset Management at The Wishcamper Companies. In his current role, Jordan leads the Asset Management Department and is responsible for identifying and implementing value‐add opportunities, long‐range operational forecasting and budgeting, investor relations and reporting, regional management oversight, capital improvements and resident services. He oversees both third‐party property management and performance. Additionally, he plays a key role in maximizing profitability during the disposition process.

Prior to his current role at The Wishcamper Companies, Jordan oversaw management of a $200MM commercial real estate portfolio as a Vice President for a Maine-based community bank. In addition to managing a large portfolio of assets, he also held positions of lender and credit analyst giving him a solid understanding of operations, budgets, financial reporting and physical condition standards required within the Wishcamper portfolio.

Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.

Jaclyn Soderlind, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer for The Wishcamper Companies, Inc. She oversees and manages all accounting, tax and finance matters for the company. This includes reporting to investors and state agencies as well as preparation for audits and tax returns.

Jaci has been involved in the real estate industry, in a variety of roles, over the past 15 years. She was a public accountant at one of the largest accounting firms in Portland as well as a Big Four accounting firm in Boston. She served high-net worth individuals and specialized in partnership taxation, including real estate ventures, for the last 10 years prior to joining The Wishcamper Companies, Inc.

Jaci holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Taxation from Bentley University. She is currently serving as Treasurer of Strong Girls United. She has one Strong Girl of her own as well as a son at home.

Charlie Duprey joined the Wishcamper Companies, Inc. in 2021 as a Solar Portfolio Manager. Charlie is responsible for the overall financial, operational, and physical wellbeing of Wishcamper’s solar assets. Prior to his current role, Charlie worked as a strategic initiative consultant for State Street Bank & Trust where he was responsible for implementing financial growth opportunities and improving operational efficiency.

Charlie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Maureen Valentine

Executive Assistant

Maureen Valentine is the Executive Assistant for The Wishcamper Companies and personal assistant to Joe Wishcamper. Maureen has provided support for all team members since 1998. She is responsible for managing the logistical aspects of our business meetings and closings. She is a Notary Public in Cumberland County, Maine.
