The Wishcamper Legacy of Social Responsibility
Since 1970, Joe Wishcamper has focused on responsible investing and positive social impact through affordable housing across the US. Starting with a 50-unit Section 8 project in Maine, Joe's career flourished as he expanded to other states, ultimately developing over 20,000 units in 24 states. In Jackson, Mississippi, he founded the non-profit Springboard to Opportunities to aid affordable housing residents.
Recently, Joe has pivoted to solar projects, promoting renewable energy as an owner/developer, resulting in over 30 solar arrays in Northern New England. Additionally, he actively contributes to philanthropy and serves on the boards of organizations like the Maine Public University System, the Maine Medical Center, the Nature Conservancy of Maine, and the Maine Public Broadcasting Network.
